Shubman Gill



Shubman Gill is an Indian cricketer who plays as an opening batsman in the Indian national cricket team and the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was born on September 8, 1999, in Fazilka, Punjab, India.

Gill made his debut for the Indian cricket team in January 2019, in an ODI against New Zealand. He was also a part of the Indian team that won the U-19 Cricket World Cup in 2018, where he was named the Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performances.

In the Indian Premier League, Gill plays for Kolkata Knight Riders and has been a consistent performer for the team. In the 2020 IPL season, he scored 440 runs in 14 matches and was awarded the Emerging Player of the Year award.

Gill is known for his elegant stroke play and his ability to score runs at a quick pace. He has been touted as one of the most promising young cricketers in India and is expected to play a big role in the Indian cricket team's future.
